FAQ

How do I get the Ruby extension on my iPhone?

The Ruby extension for Safari mobile now comes bundled with the latest Ruby app on iOS15.

First, you’ll need a device with iOS15 or later. Make sure to update your phone by going to Settings > Software Update. Then you’ll need an up-to-date version of the Ruby app. Download or update Ruby in the app store.

Launch Ruby and select Enable for Safari. First, you'll need to follow the steps to enable Ruby:
1. Tap the aA on your browser bar
2. Select Manage Extensions
3. Turn on Ruby by toggling the button to green

Then, just follow the prompts to enable permissions for us to search for savings:
1. Tap Review
2. Select Always Allow...
3. Select Always Allow on Every Website

Why isn’t Ruby showing automatic coupons in Safari?

Make sure Ruby is enabled and has permission to read and change data on all websites. Once that’s enabled, we can start looking for deals for you for the items you’re buying. We’re able to show you deals when we have access to store sites. To do that, make sure Ruby has permission to read and change data on all websites.

If you do not see Ruby popping up while shopping on your mobile browser, you can enable Ruby manually:

1. Go to Settings
2. Choose Safari
3. Tap on Extensions
4. Enable Honey by toggling the button on
5. You will then need to select the “Permissions for Ruby” below and choose “Allow” for each site listed.

Once you’ve selected “Allow” we’ll get to work looking for coupons and rewards on items you’re buying.

I have an Android. Is there a Ruby extension for that?

Currently Android doesn’t support browser extensions on Chrome. We hope to be able to bring our extension to Android in the future once Google makes this possible.
